from PAIN to PAINT
EXHIBITION AT NEHRU CENTRE, LONDON
The BINDU-ART-SCHOOL was set up to use art as a new way of life for people affected by leprosy. Through the painting of pictures, and their sales at international exhibitions, as well as locally and at the BINDU-website,(www.bindu-art.at) students attain financial independence without the indignity of receiving alms.
It was founded by the Austrian Multimedia Artist and Curator Werner Dornik, and the Indian social activist, Padma Venkataraman (daughter of former State President R. Venkataraman) in February 2005 in South India.
